While we know heirloom blouses are timeless, current trends show girls of all ages wearing garments with lace. With this trend in mind, Trisha has created the perfect soft and feminine heirloom blouse to add to your special child's wardrobe. Lovely Cluny lace creates the round yoke neckline and adds beauty to the hemline and waist. Learn how to miter lace while making the V shape that accents the center front. Soft gathers fall below the waistline. Light and airy flutter sleeves add to the graceful look for sizes 7-12 and a sweet peasant style sleeve for sizes 3-6. A tiny ribbon a the neckline ensures a perfect fit. Not only will you sew a beautiful blouse, but you will also learn new sewing skills as you create your masterpiece. Pattern is sized 3/4/5/6 and 7/8/10/12.
There is so much more than meets the eye when it comes to making this dress. Of course the precious Peg Pockets that curve out in the front are the main focus. While making this dress, Trisha will teach you many tips and techniques on how to construct a well-made garment that you will use again and again. These include making beautiful corded piping and how to apply it to the garment with the greatest of ease. Her tips on gathers keep them from being a chore. Never dread a placket again after you learn how to do her "Perfect Pucker-less Placket" in the skirt back. You will also learn that it is a peice of cake to make your own covered buttons which accent the double-breasted front bodice. Since the dress has a scooped neckline, it makes it cool and comfortable in the summer and roomy enough to be worn over a blouse during the cooler months. This dress closes in the back with buttons and there is much to be said about making nice buttonholes with just a few tweaks. Pattern is provided in sizes 3-8. Class Policies
